International Award for Best Caribbean Real Estate Development
Larimar City & Resort, recognized as the Best Caribbean Real Estate Development in the VI La Razón Construction and Housing Awards
The ambitious Larimar City & Resort project, developed by CLERHP in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, has been distinguished with the International Award for Best Caribbean Real Estate Development within the framework of the Construction and Housing Awards, organized by the newspaper La Razón.
The award was presented on Wednesday, March 26, during a ceremony held at the newspaper's headquarters in Madrid, in recognition of the vision, innovation, and commitment to sustainability that define this unprecedented urban development in the region. The event brought together prominent actors from the sector and celebrated various initiatives in the field of construction and housing — to whom Larimar extends our most sincere congratulations.
The award was received by Juan Andrés Romero Hernández, CEO of CLERHP, accompanied by Felipe Moreno Cuevas, Business Director; and Marta Gómez Arias, Investor Relations Director. Special guests from the business sphere of all Spain also attended — among them Carlos Ladero, Miguel Ángel Luna, Felipe Moreno, Mariano Moneo, and Víctor Rodriguez, especially linked to the project's development.
This recognition positions Larimar City & Resort as an international benchmark in real estate development — not only for its avant-garde urban design, but also for its economic, social, and environmental impact. The project is being designed as the Caribbean's first smart city, a self-sufficient city that combines technology, efficiency, sustainability, and a high-end lifestyle.
From its planning, Larimar has bet on a garden-city model with modular phased construction, which allows scalable and highly functional investment
This approach has facilitated the incorporation of state-of-the-art technologies in critical infrastructure such as water treatment, energy, telecommunications, and mobility.
In addition, the project integrates an oceanfront promenade of more than 3 kilometers, 100 meters above sea level, artificial beaches, an 18-hole golf course, a university, a hospital, a shopping center, sports zones, green spaces, and a careful gastronomic and commercial offering. All this has been designed to offer an experience that recreates the Mediterranean lifestyle in the heart of the Caribbean.

Sustainability is one of the project's pillars
Larimar reuses excavation materials (such as limestone) to build internal infrastructure and makes donations to the community for the development of local roads. Added to this is a firm commitment to renewable energy generation (solar and wind), efficient water treatment, and the optimization of energy consumption throughout the complex.
Larimar City & Resort will also have an important social and economic impact on the region
Driving stable employment in the service sector, energizing local commerce, and attracting foreign investment. Its condition as a project promoted by a Spanish company listed on the stock market also guarantees high standards of transparency, control, and governance — which generates trust among investors and buyers.
This recognition represents a milestone for Larimar and CLERHP, who continue working with the ambition of making Larimar City & Resort the best place to live in the Caribbean.
