Larimar City & Resort moves forward firmly: strategic meeting between CLERHP and the Dominican Ministry of Labor

The vision of a more modern, competitive, and sustainable Dominican Republic continues to take shape. On December 8, Minister of Labor Eddy Olivares received Juan Andrés Romero Hernández, president of Larimar City & Resort and CEO of CLERHP, in a meeting focused on reviewing the progress and the economic and social impact of the project transforming the country's urban development: the first smart city in the Caribbean.

This meeting reinforces the importance of public-private collaboration to drive initiatives that promote sustainable growth, innovation, and new opportunities for the Dominican population.

Larimar City & Resort: a smart city in the consolidation phase

Larimar City & Resort is advancing as one of the most ambitious urban projects in the region. Conceived under criteria of sustainability, strategic planning, and technological integration, the project positions itself as a benchmark in the Caribbean.

Highlights of its progress include:

  • More than 20,000 planned homes within a state-of-the-art master plan.
  • Development of broad amenities that integrate the resort-city concept with modern, functional spaces.
  • More than 500 jobs already generated during the construction phase.
  • Up to 10,000 jobs projected at peak construction, directly contributing to the productive sector.
  • More than 30,000 direct jobs estimated once the city is fully operational, positioning it as an engine of sustainable economic growth.

As an internationally capitalized project, Larimar City & Resort is oriented not only to transform the urban environment, but also to generate a long-term positive impact on the national economy.

Building the future with vision and responsibility

From CLERHP and Larimar City & Resort we maintain our commitment to the sustainable progress of the Dominican Republic. The project continues advancing with a combination of engineering, innovation, urban planning, and social responsibility that aims to set a new standard in the region.

Larimar City & Resort represents more than the development of a new city: it's a bet on the country's future, its growth capacity, and a modern vision of urban development.
