In the first phase of the Larimar City project, Amanalú is born — a restaurant conceived to offer much more than a gastronomic proposal. This space represents a new way of understanding luxury: an experience that combines architecture, nature, flavor, and emotion. Located in a privileged Caribbean enclave, Amanalú marks the beginning of an exclusive, serene lifestyle deeply connected with its surroundings.
An experience designed for all the senses
Amanalú isn't simply a restaurant. It's a place where time slows down, the senses awaken, and calm becomes the protagonist. Every detail has been designed to create an enveloping atmosphere, where the visitor feels welcomed by noble materials, warm lighting, and harmonious surroundings.
Beyond flavor, Amanalú proposes a complete immersion: a multisensory experience that leaves a mark.
Architecture as the guiding thread
To learn about Amanalú's soul, we spoke with the architect in charge of the project. She tells us the inspiration emerged at a sunrise, while contemplating the deep blue of the sea from the cliff. It was in that moment that the name Amanalú was born — a fusion of "amanecer" (sunrise) and "azul" (blue), a poetic nod to the larimar stone and to the essence of the project that surrounds it.
Inspired by Mediterranean architecture but reinterpreted with Caribbean identity, the restaurant is located beside a natural pool suspended 100 meters above sea level. This elevated artificial beach transforms the space into a visually striking setting, where the sensation of being beside the sea is reproduced through sound, breeze, and light.
Natural materials and connection with the surroundings
Coral stone and wood are the great protagonists of the design. Coral stone, abundant in the Larimar environment, is integrated as an identifying and sustainable element. Natural textures, soft tones, and organic lines reinforce the sense of calm and elegance.
Every spatial decision seeks to open the restaurant to the landscape, avoid visual barriers, and encourage architecture that is fluid, friendly, and in perfect harmony with nature.
Redefining the beach restaurant
One of the greatest challenges was breaking with the traditional aesthetic of the beach restaurant in the Dominican Republic. Amanalú moves away from the tropical beach-shack image and proposes a new paradigm: a refined space, with a Caribbean soul, that offers relaxed luxury without losing authenticity.
Through plays of levels, contrasts of lighting, and carefully designed ambiance, an atmosphere is achieved that combines sophistication and comfort. The result is an immersive and elegant experience, ideal for those seeking something different.
Chillout area: the art of disconnecting
Among Amanalú's most special spaces, the chillout area stands out as a true refuge of serenity. Open-air, surrounded by vegetation, with soft music and a select cocktail menu, this area becomes an authentic oasis facing the artificial beach. A place to share intimate conversations at sunset or simply let yourself go with the tranquility of the surroundings.
The transition between the interior and this outdoor area has been seamlessly designed, inviting the visitor to move freely and always feel in harmony with the landscape.

Amanalú is much more than a restaurant within the Larimar City & Resort project. It's a declaration of principles. It reflects Larimar's vision as an exclusive, sustainable destination deeply connected with nature.
